Saint George Island is on the Gulf of Mexico in the panhandle section of Florida. The island is composed of mostly sand dunes with sea oats and pine trees. Known nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles and a favorite place of bird watchers. We toured the Cape St. George Lighthouse museum and took a walk on the beach.
