Both freshwater springs in northwest Florida where the water temperature stays a constant 72 degrees.
Devil’s Den is a pre-historic spring with fossil beds dating back 33 million years. This spring is a favorite of scuba divers and snorkelers.
Manatee Springs is an important winter refuge for West Indian manatees. The spring waters flow into the Suwannee River en route to the Gulf of Mexico. We only saw one small manatee from the boardwalk so I am hoping everyone can make out the manatee in the picture. A great place to see wildlife and take a walk in the woods.
