Mount Washington Cog Railway Trip

Our day of sightseeing started by meeting up with our new RV friends Mike and Kim who we met in Bar Harbor and were now staying in Vermont. We met up at Pinkham Notch visitor center located in the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire. First on our list was a waterfall and then a drive to the other side of the mountain to take our steam engine train ride up the tallest mountain in the national forest. Let’s go.

Crystal Cascade Waterfalls

As we followed the path there were many waterfalls that just kept getting bigger until we reached the end of the trail and the final falls was incredible!!!

We started with the temperature in the 80’s at the bottom of the mountain and 60 on the summit with 20 mile per hour winds. As you can see from this picture the summit was in the clouds. We did get a few breaks in the clouds while we were on the summit but only short breaks.
Time to head back down the mountain.
We had a great day hanging out with Mike and Kim. We are hoping to meet up with them again next year out west.
